Widmer Selects Oregon Public Relations Firm

Widmer Brothers Brewing Company, brewers of the best selling draft craft biers in North America and currently in the process of a major expansion, has selected Metropolitan Group of Portland to handle the company's public and media relations.

"We are very excited to be working with Widmer," says Eric Fishman, Metropolitan Group General Manager and Creative Director. "Widmer produces an outstanding Northwest product, and we can't wait to tell the world the Widmer story."

"We are pleased to be working with the Metropolitan Group team," says Kurt Widmer, president. "We've been impressed with their work both locally and nationally, and we're excited to have Metropolitan Group part of our future plans."

Widmer conducted an agency search that included firms in San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland. Widmer ultimately chose Metropolitan Group for their strong strategic thinking and experience.

The selection comes as Widmer completes construction on its new brewing and bottling facility in North Portland. This state of the art facility will provide Widmer with much needed brewing capacity and the ability to bottle their popular biers for the first time.
